Trivia Night at The Highball ($100 cash prize!)

$150 in prizes, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema movie tickets, and cold beer on special? You're welcome.

Improbably nominated as "Best of Austin" for 2018 by Austin Chronicle, featuring the richest prizes around, and Austin's longest running quiz event... this is Geeks Who Drink at The Highball.

Form your teams of up to six (or come alone, we'll find you a crew), and get ready to put your brains to the test with eight rounds of trivia gold. The winning prize? $100 cash. Second place? A $30 gift card for Alamo Drafthouse. Third place? $20 gift card. Plus, bonus prizes featuring lots and lots of free Alamo Drafthouse movie tickets and whatever the hosts have lying around their house.

Hosted for close to nine years by John W. Smith and James Pound, two broken and deeply flawed men with beards facing the rigors of old age and ennui, it's the perfect wrap-up to your week.

Sundays at 7:30pm through January 2019, then switching back to Wednesdays at 8pm in February, just in time for their ninth anniversary.
